- Esoteric domain text is fairly simple to operationalise in mathematics (it is generally quite clear what is specialised mathematics text and what is not)
- Units of one-quarter of a page coded as either esoteric domain or non-esoteric domain
- Results:
- YSeries esoteric domain
- G Series esoteric domain
- Y: average of 43.4% of text is within esoteric domain (and increases in the series)
- G: average of 9.0% of text is within esoteric domain (and decreases in the series).
