Discursive Saturation (DS)

Discursive saturation is a measure of the extent to which a strategic practice tends to make the principles of an activity available within discourse, and so relatively context independent (high discursive saturation - DS+) or, alternatively, delimits such availability and so constituting relative context dependence (low discursive saturation (DS-).

The former category of strategy may be either specialising (where the range of the practice is being narrowed) or generalising (where the range is being extended).

The opposite category of strategy may be either localising (where the range of the practice is being narrowed) or articulating (where the range is being extended).

This combination gives rise to a pedagogic strategy machine.
